Foster Collaborative Learning
- Online students and remote student teams need support to engage in collaborative learning. Some Web 2.0 tools help you foster collaborative learning among peers in your classroom.
- Lucidchart, Sketchboard, Milanote, Miro, and Google Jamboard are visual workspaces and specifically designed tools for collaborative work of distributed teams. Using these tools, student team members can brainstorm synchronously in a shared workspace; visualize, organize, and share their ideas.
- You can utilize these tools for various aims:
- designing workshops;
- creating warm-up or main lesson activities;
- preparing group projects; or presentation of any content.
- All tools have free use options with some limitations (e.g. limited use of templates in Lucidchart); and you can use your Google account to sign up. You can upload images or documents into your workspace, and publish your finished product as pdf or image. They also offer some ready made templates.

Padlet and Popplet
Padlet and Popplet are diagramming tools that allow keeping a bulletin board, a blog, a portfolio individually, or collectively. You can find many examples of various uses for different subjects and grade levels. For Padlet, you can check here; for public Popplets, check here.
With the map template of Padlet, team members can pinpoint a specific location and add document, text, or image there.
